Should I use oil or acrylic paint on an acoustic guitar?
Ps: No matter the sound of the guitar has been sanded, and have a manual for I will mix wood with paint thinner and sand in the face. I hope this painting will now accede). But until very late unglossy acrylic. I I have a spray of clear acrylic lacquer .. can not be proved, for a pint cos they do not. Will bright up? Or should I use oil paint? Is it brighter? Will it be more durable? Confused person who needs urgent help, the pros and cons of acrylic and oil .. Never heard of Tho oil painted guitar. Help!
I would use turpentine and pass the guitar in which you want to paint. Use some very fine steel wool and give it a good cleaning. Remove any of the other things you can wear. Oil paint is thinned with turpentine would be great for kids with a guitar. If you need to dry quickly you may want to use a medium that will dry faster than oils. Let the paint dry in a well-lit room. Do not keep it in the dark. After the paint is dry, check with some thin layers of non-yellowing varnish. Good luck and sent me! I'd love to see pictures!
