How to read the expiration date on the chocolate bars ….?

In the back of the chocolate bar last time I saw a code number for me was not readable manufacturing date or expiration date. How can you figure out the expiration date of this code? The second reason My question is because the store owner once told me that the dollar stores will sell some chocolates and after the expiry date (by year) because nobody really knows how to read the expiration date.
