Air conditioning without leaks to the outside?

I have a nice new window unit air conditioning and have been running all summer. It strangest thing I've noticed is that the water leaks to the outside like normal air conditioning units. Each apt or house you walk through a unit Operation AC, I see water leaking / draining out. But not mine .. which is strange. I can hear water gurgling in the unit and spray occasionally so I know theres water moving around the unit … I do not see any water coming out. I have my unit is tilted outward and have to see water coming out. Is this normal? I find it quite strange and I wonder if I installed wrong? Apart from that, the unit works well. I have a metal sleeve through the wall of my room my air conditioning unit is in.. not a window. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Some units are designed to have water by evaporation. I would say that yours falls into this category. If you see any evidence to the contrary, leaks or water stains, be sure to open the plastic and do something to investigate promptly.
